AEB CEO says European cos nervous over Calvey case
BRUSSELS, Mar 15 (PRIME) – The executives of the European companies working in Russia are nervous over arrest of founder of Baring Vostok Michael Calvey, CEO of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) Frank Schauff told PRIME in an interview published on Friday.
“The European companies are a bit nervous about this case and they are monitoring closely what is happening. We have seen in media today that this process, this case of Baring Vostok affects the mood of foreign companies. And sure, we will need to see how it all continues,” Schauff said.
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested Calvey and five other defendants for two months in a 2.5 billion ruble embezzlement case in mid-February.
